Full Description

Nether Cottage and outbuildings, Nether Lane, Holbrook, a late 18th century complex. From the National Heritage List for England: 'PARISH OF HOLBROOK NETHER LANE SK 34 SE 4/20 (West Side) Nether Cottage and attached outbuildings II Farmhouse and attached outbuildings. Late C18 with C19 additions and alterations. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings, and slate roof with brick gable stacks. Three bay, two storey house with two bay, single storey outbuilding to south. House has central quoined doorcase with C19 plank door covered by lattice work porch. To either side, 3-light flush mullion windows, the outer lights of both windows being C19. Above, three 2-light flush mullion windows. All fenestration small pane casements or fixed windows except central first floor window which has leaded C18 lights. Attached outbuilding to south has two doors under large C19 lintels and one C20 casement window above to north. Listing NGR: SK3658444818.' (1)
