Full Description
Stone-lined land drains, off Gritstone Road and Farm Lane, Matlock Town, of post-medieval date.
During an evaluation carried out between 2016-2017, where 41 trial trenches were excavated, a number of stone lined land drains of post-medieval (or possibly modern as well) were recorded. These features were recorded in Trenches 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 12, 13, 17, 19, and 24 of this particular evaluation. (1) Please note GIS point is central to this evaluation and not a specifically accurate representation of these features.
