Full Description

Ruin of Errwood Hall service block, Hartington Upper Quarter, possibly dating to the 1830s. An historic fabric building survey was carried out in 2022 as the first part of a phased program of works to assess the condition of the remains: 'From the observable remains, the Service Range occupied a L-shaped planform. The south end of the building extended west via a buildout. This buildout has possible remains of a doorway to the west, also serving the centre Courtyard / Lightwell of the Main Villa. The remainder of the building extended north, likely contains the house’s kitchen to its interior. Internal wall footings suggest the service wing extended northwards as a series of rooms.' (1)
