Tomb south of St James's Church, Edlaston Lane, Edlaston and Wyaston, erected c1711. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 14 SE PARISH OF EDLASTON AND WYASTON EDLASTON LANE 4/48 (South Side) Tomb 6 yards south of south porch GV II Table tomb c1711. Sandstone. Plain base with inscriptions to south and east. That to south reads Here lyeth the body of John/Kirkland: son of Paul Kirkland/ of Wyaston who departed/this life ye 26th of October in ye/23 year of his age 1711/ who hath a good child to his/..... Inscription to east reads Paul Kirkland/ Benefactor to the/poor, buried April 20th/1714. Flat overhanging slab on top with chamfer on underside. Listing NGR: SK1812442660.' (1)
