Walls and gates, Milnthorp Homes, Buxton, built in 1904. From the National Heritage List for England: BUXTON SK07SE MACCLESFIELD ROAD, Burbage 616-1/2/119 (North side) Walls and gates to Milnthorp Homes GV II Walls and gates. 1904. Coursed rock-faced stone with ashlar dressings. Low wall with ashlar chamfered coping 140m long, with 2 sets of gates and 16 intermediary piers flush with the front wall, arranged 5:16:1. Gate piers square with moulded tops and concave pyramidal caps with ball finials. Built as an integral part of the architectural layout of this group of almshouses. Included for group value with Milnthorp Homes. Listing NGR: SK0507972995.' (1)
