A pair of stone gatepiers. Early C17. Rusticated ashlar gritstone piers, approximately 3 metres high, rising from shallow plinths incorporating at mid height moulded drips, and with boldly projecting cornices supporting banded ball finials. The piers were removed from the site of Derwent Hall (inundated by the Derwent Reservoir) and re-erected in 1942.
