Railings and gates at Rutland Terrace, Buxton Road, Bakewell, of early 19th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BAKEWELL SK2168 BUXTON ROAD 831-1/4/67 (South West side) 20/05/74 Railed wall and gates to Rutland Terrace (Formerly Listed as: BUXTON ROAD (South West side) Nos.1-4 (Consecutive) Rutland Terrace. Railed wall and Gates to Nos.1-4) GV II Retaining wall with railings and gateways. Early C19. Very deeply-coursed punched gritstone; iron railings and gates. Retains ground to front of Rutland Terrace (qv) with gate openings at each house, slight projections at the terrace pilasters; end piers with return walls. Moulded copings; plain railings with barbed finials; standards with vase finials. Gates in same style (far left gate missing) and railing divisions to the front gardens. Listing NGR: SK2169468556.'
