Full Description

Railings and gate at Saxby, Buxton Road, Bakewell, of early 19th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'BAKEWELL SK2168 BUXTON ROAD 831-1/4/69 (North East side) 20/05/74 Iron railings and Gate at Saxby GV II Railings and gate. Early C19. Ashlar plinth; iron railings and gate. Set across frontage to Saxby (qv) with gateway to right and return section of railings to left. The railings have spiked dog bars and arrowhead finials; fluted standards with vase finials. Gate in same style but with wavy dog bars. Listing NGR: SK2170568560.' (1)
