Full Description

Roman road from Melandra towards Manchester, Glossop, in part clearly visible with LiDAR data, in part conjectural or assumed. A study of LiDAR data by D Ratledge in 2021 established the route of a Roman road from Melandra towards Manchester. Some of the route is clearly visible on the survey data, although some sections are not quite as visible, or are conjectural as the route cannot be seen through modern buildings. (1)
