Outbuildings at Sapperton Manor, Sapperton Lane, Church Broughton, of early 19th century date.
From the National Heritage List for England:
'SK 13 SE PARISH OF CHURCH BROUGHTON SAPPERTON LANE 2/17 (North Side) Farm buildings at Sapperton Manor GV II
Farm buildings, including thrashing barn, cowsheds, stables and walls, arranged around a crew yard. Early C19. Red brick with minimal stone dressings. Plain tile roofs with stone coped gables. One and two storeys. North range consists of cowshed with loft over and central tower with pyramid roof and weather vane. South elevation of nine bays. Tower has round-arched doorway and later window to left. Round-arched doorway above and clock face above again. Dovecote below the eaves with landing boards. To the left, a segment headed window, a segment headed door, then a similar window and a similar door. Four rectangular windows above. Similar, mirror image, elevation to right, partly obscured by laser brick buttressing. Similar 3-bay return elevation to stables along west side. Altered return elevation to east side linked to tall two storey thrashing barn. West elevation has tall elliptical-arched cart entrance on left, lower cart entrance to right, and three segment headed windows and one altered window, in place of a breather opening. Two tiers of breather openings arranged in diamond patterns, three below and four above. Two circular pitching eyes. L-range of stables attached in south east corner with four segment headed doorways and window. Attached walls with stone copings, curved in to entrance. West side of crew yard has tall stone coped wall and with C20 covered yard not of listable quality. Stable block in south west angle, in similar style with attached low curved wall to entrance. Stone coped walls and gate piers attached at south west angle and forming garden wall to manor house.
