Lychgate at St Michael's Church, Church Lane, Sutton on the Hill, built c1863. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 23 SW PARISH OF SUTTON ON THE HILL CHURCH LANE 3/52 (North Side) Lychgate to south of the Church of St Michael GV II Lychgate. c1863. Sandstone and timber with slate roof topped by crested ridge tiles and with two Celtic ridge crosses. To either side, ashlar walls with double gates between, each with a panel below, and three open pointed arches above. On top of the walls are arcades of pointed open arches and to either end are cruck trusses which support the roof, that to south inscribed 'Thou art a place to hide me in'.
