Monument record MDR4098 - Enclosure, 275m north of Ewe Close Farm, Hassop

Type and Period (1)

Protected Status/Designation

  • None recorded

Full Description

Undated cropmark of an irregular enclosure showing on an aerial photograph. (1). Superficially this appears to be a long but narrow D-shaped enclosure with a bank and internal ditch. However, no earthworks were found in this field. There are shallow but broad gullies which are natural and it is these which appear to the interpretation from the aerial photograph. (3).
