Full Description

(SK 3180 1893) 'Hartshorn Potteries' named on the OS map of 1887, with 'Old Clay Shafts' being marked at SK 3183 1902. (1) In 1902 the site is marked as 'Pottery', with one un-named shaft being depicted. (2) 'Pottery' and 'Old Shaft' marked on maps of the 1920s and 1930s. (3-4) By 1977 the site is shown as 'Works'. (5) Area occupied by light engineering works (disused). The buildings are modern. (6)
