Full Description
North of Elvaston Lane, close to the site of Stocker Flat Farm, a number of earthworks, including banks/lynchets and an area of irregular earthwork mounds and hollows (at SK 396 333) were identified during a walkover survey in 1994. The earthwork mounds and hollows are probably to be associated with a later 19th century gravel pit, recorded on the first edition OS 25" map of c. 1880. (1)
