Dimple Farm farmhouse, Off Hurds Hollow, Matlock Town, a late 17th century building. 'Dimple Farmhouse is an L-shaped building of the late 17th century constructed of coursed stone rubble. The left-hand wing has three-light mullioned windows; those on the ground floor were replaced in the 19th century. The cross wing has been altered but may be the earliest part.' (1) From the National Heritage List for England: '1. HURD'S HOLLOW 1390 MATLOCK No 15 (Dimple Farmhouse) SK 26 SE 10/109 II 2. Late C17. Coursed stone rubble. L-shaped on plan, the left-hand wing having 3 3-light chamfered mullioned windows, those to ground floor mutilated and fitted with C19 casements, a doorway at each side in chamfered reveal, that on left with C19 rustic wood porch; stone plinth. Advanced wing on right-hand side has coped gabled end; sprocketed eaves; old stone tiles. Listing NGR: SK2936860788.' (2)
