Full Description

Possible Romano-British settlement south of Pennilow. It comprises an extensive area of small earthworks, including fields, paddocks and two or more possible hut sites, as well as rectangular structures. (1) Base of Derbyshireware pot. Found on site of Romano-British settlement. Settlement consists of a terraced site on the other side of the hill, overlooking Berresford Dale. Fields extend into new (modern) enclosures. (2)
