Full Description

A stone and a flint axe were found on Booth High Edge, the former in cutting a trench for a wall. Both were added to Mr. Micah Salt's collection in 1898. (1). Micah Salt's collection is held by Buxton Museum. No siting evidence. (2). SK 0669. The stone axe has been sectioned and identified as gritstone. Both were added to the Salt collection in 1898, and are now in Buxton Museum. (3).
