Full Description

Easterly section of double bridge constructed to carry a siding to the limekilns. Constructed of regular gritstone blocks, the double bridge is approximately five metres high and 40m long, with a skew tunnel. The bridge is overgrown with grass and trees, but the condition is stable. (1) At west end of section of elevated tramway branch; originally carried on drystone retaining walls. Built in the late 1860s to carry elevated tramway branch over Jane Lane, while maintaining a level grade from junction to kilns. Easterly of the two 'Bugsworth Arches'. (9)
