Author/Originator
Date/Year 2011

Abstract/Summary

Evaluation, open area excavation, and preservation in situ in advance of new bottling plant. The excavation identified a series of discrete concentrations of archaeological features and artefact scatters relating to the late Mesolithic and early Neolithic. Mesolithic remains include a discrete artefact scatter, probably a knapping floor, and further lithics in a background scatter across the site. Neolithic remains included a probable early Neolithic long-house with associated carinated bowl pottery and daub, a possible small post-defined enclosure and lithics scatters.
