Former outbuildings to Horsleygate Old Hall, Horsleygate Lane, Holmesfield, a 17th century building.
From the National Heritage List for England:
'PARISH OF HOLMESFIELD HORSLEYGATE LANE SK 37 NW 5/159 (North Side) House to the north-east of Horsleygate Old 16.12.75 Hall (formerly listed as Barns at Old Horsleygate Hall and Horsleygate Cottages) GV II House, formerly outbuilding and cottages. C17 with alterations in C18, and converted to a dwelling in 1975-7. Coursed rubble coal measures sandstone, with quoins, plain gables, C20 ashlar stacks and stone slated roof. L-shaped range, with basement to advanced wing at west end. Two storey and two storey and basement, seven bays, with main two storey range having three quoined doorways, the central one now forming a window. Window and door joinery all C20, the three first floor openings at the west end being former overloft doors with shutters, the openings now glazed without glazing bars, the remaining windows being C20 glazing bar casements. Former ventilation slits also direct glazed. Advanced wing with tall double opening with quoined surround, now with C20 glazed screen, formerly forming access to threshing bay. Rear opening of similar proportions, with masonry infill and a re-used C19 2-light mullioned window to the first floor, and a C20 glazed screen below. To the south of the modified rear door, other inserted single and 2-light C19 window surrounds, to the north, glazed ventilation slits. The south gable of the advanced wing has four 2-light chamfer mullioned windows, some C20 restoration and a central door with quoined surround, massive lintel, and rough masonry relieving arch above the lintel. The interiors throughout have been completed remodelled. Listed for group value .
