Full Description

Tourist Information Centre, West Street, Swadlincote, an early 19th century building. From the National Heritage List for England: 'This list entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 20/02/2020 SK 2919 5/22 WEST STREET (south side) Sharpe's Pottery Heritage and Art Centre Front range of former Sharpe's Pottery (Formerly listed as The premises of S A Ratcliffe and P J Frames along street boundary, WEST STREET, previously listed as The premises of Marilyn Engineering Company along street boundary) GV II Early C19. Formerly front range of pottery works. Red brick with plinth. Tiled hipped roof with truncated chimney stack and gable over first floor loading door. Two storeys. Circa seven bays width. Generally two or three light fixed windows with glazing bars (and some modern glazing in earlier window spaces), cambered arches. Ground floor also has two sets of loading doors.
