Gate piers and gates, Hollinknoll, Long Lane, Chapel en le Frith, of 18th and early 20th century date. From the National Heritage List for England: 'SK 07 NE TOWN OF CHAPEL-EN-LE-FRITH LONG LANE 6/29 (North Side) Hollinknoll Gates and Gate Piers GV II Pair of gate piers and gates. C18 and early C20. Gritstone and wrought iron. Square rusticated stone piers, six feet high. Moulded cornice surmounted by ball finials. C20 pair of wrought iron gates, each gate with four vertical bars, topped with dartheads, arranged in sloping curve at top. Tied below dartheads with circles. At base, grid of multiple vertical bars tied by diagonal bars with central circle. Included for group value Listing NGR: SK0601979495.' (1)
