Full Description

Two sides of a possible rectangular enclosure, a short length of parallel ditches and other linear and curvilinear ditches were identified on aerial photographs. (1) Cropmarks plotted on map overlay at a scale of 1:10,000. (2) Aerial photographs, which were examined in advance of a proposed pipeline, revealed linear cropmarks and a pit alignment (OS field no. 3537) adjacent to the pipeline. At least one of the linear cropmarks runs towards the route of the pipeline. (3) The cropmarks were also identified during an aerial photographic mapping survey in 2009/10, using photographs dating to 1979. (4)
