The landscape in the area is dominated by fields of post Medieval enclosure and suburban growth of Derby. 3 sites of archaeological interest are affected: 1. Cropmark enclosures at Elvaston 2. Palaeoenvironmental material at Stocker Flat 3. Medieval pottery scatter at Alvaston.
