Source/Archive record SDR19961 - A Roman Road between Buxton and Melandra Castle, Glossop

Title A Roman Road between Buxton and Melandra Castle, Glossop
Date/Year 1999

A self published report that is largely an account of the author's efforts, alongside Paul Mellor, to trace the course of the Roman road between Buxton and the Roman fort of Melandra near Glossop, that entailed a walkover survey together with some trial trenching. It is largely a rehash of the author's 1971 Derbyshire Archaeological Journal artictle

Paper and pdf copy.
