Description
Roman pottery scatter across numerous fields identified during field walking conducted by Ockbrook and Borrowash Historical Society in 1997-1998. Other materials identified include an iron nail (likely Roman), fire cracked pebbles and slag. The quantity and spread of finds suggests substantial Roman presence in the area, this likely includes the possibility of settlement in the vicinity.
