Silver lanx found in 1729, of probable late 4th century date. The original has been lost; a 'rediscovered' silver plate was later shown to be a forgery.

Site of one, possibly two, rectangular platforms once surrounded by a moat; the western side had a double bank and ditch. Now ploughed out.

Approximate site of about 80 inhumations and some burnt bones found while making a cutting for the Midland Railway in 1838.
